Cathedral Yard - Fresh Coffee - Mixed media, oil on acrylic Oil on Board
The viewpoint for this second painting in a series on Exeter cathedral yard is from the entrance to the passageway by Drake's Inn, a few yards from The Royal Clarence Hotel. People always seem to enjoy passing through the yard, which connects with different parts of the city centre in all directions. It is a beautiful place, there are trees, and no through traffic, and open spaces that present larger views. And of course the cathedral still stands as a serene witness to the existence of realms beyond the workaday world.
